My first training !

Haha….. you may all wonder “first training” ? haha… if you have read my previous post , yes ! I’m talking about the training in Beijing !! Apparently Aunty Susan had found a China Coach , a former National Player , but backed out to be a coach , to train me ! haha.. I was like thinking , what ?! In Singapore my skills are already somehow quite poor comparing to others , going to China ??!! haha but I thought over it and felt that I should appreciate all these opportunities to improve !

When I went to the badminton hall to train , my first thought that came to my mind was that God will be always be with me and He always will ! I entered the court knowing that whatever doubts or fears or uncertainties I have God will help overcome it ! And He really did !

The coach will like quite cute to say larhs.. young chap .. any girlfriend ? haha… first he trained me lobbing … for about 40 times I think.. its was very tiring.. he commented that I was poor in my body positioning and delivery of the shuttlecork.. ok he spoke in chinese and certain times or the another I was unable to catch what he was saying.. but I managed to catch his accent sometime later..

Next he trained me on delivery of service and backhand stroke.. and some six corners… he was great.. although I committed repeated mistakes consecutively , but he did not show any signs of anger or impatience.. hmmm.. this is what a coach must always possess amen?

Second thing I realized was that my throat and lips went dry damm fast due to the cold temperature confined within the hall… like every 20 minutes my throat would go dry…. I also realized the coach was VERY observant of me !! even when I committed the slightest mistake , he would immediately notice and point them out to me. ! My confidence for badminton started to increase when I receive encouragements from the coach.. especially when he said “hao qiu” -that’s means good ball… haha God inspire me !

What I wanna be thankful of was that God REALLY overcame my fears ! When I touched down Beijing at around 7am , it was quite cold.. and haha I can honestly say I’m very kiasi !! at every half and hour I would check that I had my passport and boarding pass with me !! haha then I would be able to flight peacefully..

Wanna also thank Aunty Susan for also pampering me so much !! Not only she bought a tube of shuttlecorks for me to play , she also bought a new pair of Yonex badminton shoes for me !! Love you !!

What I really want to tell you this is that when we have worries or even doubts , lets all submit our worries to God , knowing that He is the mighty and capable God !! When I served a wrong stroke , I would always tell God in my heart to push me further !! and I do believe that if we keep on trusting the Lord , He will answer our call.

Lets trust in our Lord !
